Because of the arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation brought charges in absentia against prosecutor Karim Khan and judge Rosario Salvatore of the International Criminal Court. They are accused under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, in particular, of "preparing for an attack on a representative of a foreign state."

This is stated in the message of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

The Russian Investigative Committee claims that the criminal prosecution of President Putin and the Commissioner for Children's Rights Lviv-Belova, who are accused of illegally deporting Ukrainian children to Russia, "is illegal, since there are no grounds for criminal prosecution."

The Russians accuse the ICC Prosecutor of "bringing a knowingly innocent person to criminal responsibility" and "illegally accusing a person of committing a serious or particularly grave crime."

According to the Russian investigation, Karim Khan, as part of the criminal investigation, sent a petition to the ICC Pre-Trial Chamber to obtain an arrest warrant for Putin and Lviv-Belova. Based on this petition, the ICC judges, according to the Russians, issued "illegal decisions."

The Russians also accuse Judge Rosario Salvatore under the article on "pre-illegal detention."

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said it was conducting an "investigation" against other ICC judges.

We will remind, the International Criminal Court in The Hague said that it issued a warrant for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Russian Federation Maria Lvova Belova for the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children.
