Over the past two weeks, the aggressor country Russia has been spreading fakes about the alleged death of a number of Ukrainian commanders. In particular, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar said on the air of the telethon that this disinformation could have one explanation.
"In the past two weeks, we have seen three such news. It was about Tantsiura (Commander of the TrO Forces), it was about General Syrsky (Commander of the Land Forces and Eastern Front) and about Zaluzhny. On the one hand, this can be perceived as a fake, because there is no problem to call and make sure that everything is normal and the person is alive," Maliar said.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Defense, this is not just a fake. She calls it a "false start."
"When they [Russians] They have already conceived something, they already have certain goals. They just communicate the results in advance, perhaps to report "upstairs" or to analyze us," Maliar said.
At the same time, the representative of the Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the enemy has a desire to destroy the Ukrainian military-political leadership.
"The attempts on our president have already been discussed, but we must understand that there is a threat to the lives of our military leadership. Indeed, the Russians are practicing movement. If someone thinks that our commanders are sitting somewhere in safe places, this is not so, they are always under personal threat," Maliar replied.
In early May, Russian propaganda began to spread fakes on the Web about the alleged death of Zaluzhnyi, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky and other military commanders. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation promoted fakes.
