Adviser to the Head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podolyak said that despite numerous sanctions imposed against the Russian military machine, the aggressor country continues to look for ways to circumvent these restrictions.

He told about this in an interview with Channel 24.

According to him, today there are countries that still help the Russian Federation to get what it needs for the construction of new missiles. They periodically "cynically and hypocritically say the word 'peace', while at the same time looking for an opportunity to mediate the purchase of various technologies or dual-use products.

"We have a working group at the Office of President McFaul-Yermak, which is engaged in analyzing sanctions that have already been introduced and analyzing the possibility of circumventing them. These analytical products are transferred to our partners of the European commissions, which are studying the additional possibility of Russia to circumvent sanctions," Podolyak said.

However, despite the fact that Russia continues to produce missiles, this is "not at all the number that was before," says Podolyak. This is due to the fact that the Russian Federation today spends more than it can produce.

"Russia wants to have a protracted conflict, but of very low intensity. Because it does not have the resources for a protracted high-intensity conflict. We do not benefit from either one or the other. But I want to emphasize: there are no unlimited resources in Russia. Russia also has huge problems with resources. Because countries gradually refuse to give the opportunity to purchase various products through them," Podoliak said.

We will remind, from the investigation of "Important stories" it became known that Russia buys and imports drones and electronics for its armed forces through Kazakhstan. And even Western sanctions do not stand in the way.

At the same time, since February 24, 2022, Russia's missile arsenal has decreased by about 70%. The calculations include stocks of missiles in Russia before the start of the war and those missiles that were manufactured during the conduct of hostilities.

According to the Intelligence Directorate, Russia has exhausted its significant stock of missiles, but managed to establish production, despite international sanctions. So, as of now, Russians are able to produce per month:

  • about 25 "Calibers",
  • Х-101 – 35 units,
  • "Daggers" – two units,
  • 9M723 ballistic missiles to Iskander-M – five units.
