In Kamyanets-Podilskyi, police detained a man suspected of killing his 86-year-old mother. The crime took place in one of the hostels on Pryvokzalna Street.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police in Khmelnytsky region.

The woman's body was discovered on the morning of May 17. Nearby, his son, still hungry from the evening, slept. The attacker was detained on the spot.

As the police found out, the day before there was a conflict between her son and mother, the suspect beat her, and the woman died from the injuries.

Investigators have already announced suspicion to the detainee under Part 1 of Art. 115 (Premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the sanction of which provides for up to 15 years in prison. Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect is being resolved.

Earlier it became known that in the Cherkasy region a man beat his former cohabitant and killed her father. The man was detained at the crime scene.
