Over the past day, May 17, the Russian occupation army carried out 90 shelling of the Kherson region. Three people died, including a child. Eight people were injured.

This was announced by the chairman of the Kherson regional administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

The Russians fired 529 shells from heavy artillery, Grad rockets, tanks, UAVs and aircraft on the territory of the region. The city of Kherson was shelled three times by the Russian army, firing eight shells.

"The Russian military targeted residential areas of settlements in the region; in the school building and shop of the Kherson city community, the power line of the Bilozerska settlement community and in the hospital of the Beryslav district," the message says.

Over the past day, another 147 people were evacuated from the de-occupied territory of the region.

To recap, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that on May 17, a 5-year-old boy Vsevolod was killed in the village of Zelenivka in the Kherson region as a result of Russian shelling. He would have turned six in July.
