Over the past four days, the Ukrainian military has achieved tactical success in the Bakhmut area, they have managed to stabilize the flanks in their favor.

This is stated in the summary of British intelligence.

In addition to advancing south of the city, Ukrainian forces have pushed back the Russian front line northwest of the city. This likely allowed Ukrainian forces to resume safer use of the key supply road 0506.

"Ukraine is holding back Russia's Western advance along the Donetsk-Donbas canal, turning the waterway into an obstacle within the deep defensive strip around the city of Chasiv Yar," the statement said.

But despite the successes around Bakhmut, the "Wagnerites" continue to gradually clear Ukrainian positions in the city center.

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the occupiers continue to lose positions in the Bakhmut area of Donetsk region. Analysts, citing the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Ukrainian Colonel Serhiy Cherevaty, report that 30 clashes took place between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Russian invaders in the Bakhmut sector.

The day before, Commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrsky said that the advance of the Ukrainian army in the Bakhmut direction is the first success of offensive actions in the operation to defend Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
