Knyazev allegedly received money from people who advocated a court decision in favor of oligarch Konstantin Zhevago.

Previously, the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court considered a case regarding the ownership of 40.19% of shares of Poltava Mining and Processing Plant (PGOK) Ferrexpo. The court upheld these shares to companies associated with Zhevago, canceling the invalidation of sales contracts concluded 20 years ago.

Also, according to sources of the publication, searches are carried out at another 18 judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, who heard this case. The High Council of Justice should remove them.

Knyazev has not had a deputy for about a year and a half, so his detention would mean the "decapitation" of the body.

We will remind that earlier it was reported that the chairman of the Supreme Court was detained on a bribe of almost $ 3 million. NABU and SAP exposed large-scale corruption in the Supreme Court, namely the scheme of obtaining illegal benefits by the leadership and judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

We will add that earlier Zhevago was informed of suspicion of embezzlement of $ 113 million of the Bank "Finance and Credit", which caused damage to the interests of the state and depositors of the bank. Currently, the property of the suspect, as well as legal entities associated with him, has been seized.

Businessman Konstantin Zhevago is the founder of Ferrexpo AG. Forbes Ukraine put him in the top five richest Ukrainians. He was a people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 convocations.

Meanwhile, in France, the court postponed the trial of the fugitive Ukrainian oligarch Zhevago for the third time.
