Relatives of a 23-year-old boy from Haskovo who died in a car crash demand justice. Hours after the incident, which occurred on March 20, the guilty driver left the country and has been without charge for a month and a half.

"We want to know what necessitated the prompt release of my son's killer on the tenth hour. Did they know about my son's condition? We were told that the prosecutor's office was notified of the crash in two days," Jordan's father, Yasen, said.

According to the relatives of the dead boy, the driver who caused the crash was drunk. He refused to be tested with a breathalyzer. "He had a blood sample taken - a little forced, we still have no results. We are waiting for them..." commented the mother of the young man Zhivka.

"We have recordings from the evening of him drinking in a restaurant and getting in the car. All my son's friends who were in the emergency room say he smelled like alcohol and was in an inadequate condition. We're sure he drank," Jassen added.

From now on, people are demanding changes in the law. They are unhappy with the minimum sentences.

"For what amount did the policeman, the prosecutor, release the killer? He made money for this prosecutor. It can't happen without that. Greedy policemen and prosecutors," said the grandmother of the dead youth. "At the scene, he offered money to those present," Jassen added.

The prosecutor's office explained that they expect the experts appointed to the case to come out in order to be charged. The driver who caused the accident will be subpoenaed. If he does not voluntarily appear, his extradition from Turkey will be requested.

There is also a discrepancy between when the information about the crash was received by the prosecutor's office. The prosecution said it had been notified by the Interior Ministry two days after the incident.
