During the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Germany, he visited a military base in the city of Aachen, where Ukrainian servicemen are training.

This is stated on the official website of the head of state.

Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz also spoke with Ukrainian soldiers studying in the Bundeswehr.

"I want to thank you guys for representing our state. We spoke today with the Chancellor – everyone respects our Armed Forces. We are waiting for you at home, come back and make our army on the battlefield even more powerful," the president said.

Zelensky presented state awards to the soldiers of Ukraine. For personal courage, selfless actions shown in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, exemplary performance of military duty, Ukrainian soldiers were awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Olaf Scholz got themselves acquainted with the elements of training, as well as examined samples of German military equipment used by Ukrainian servicemen to train and supplied to Ukraine.

We will remind, the head of Ukraine Zelensky arrived in Paris and spoke about the plans. The day before, he discussed weapons and the transfer of Western fighters to Ukraine. And in Germany, the Ukrainian leader was awarded the Charlemagne Prize.
