On the night of May 14, the international music contest Eurovision-2023 took place in Liverpool, UK, where the representative of Sweden, singer Loreen, won first place.

However, not everyone was happy about the victory of the Swedish singer, and especially Ukrainians. And all because the motive of the competition song Loreen resembles the composition of the Ukrainian singer Mika Newton "In the Plena" of 2005.

On the Web, users actively discussed this and noted that Lorin's victory with the hit Tattoo was not deserved. According to users, the first place Loreen is not deserved, because her song was stolen from Mika Newton, so the crystal cup should go to her.

By the way, Ukrainian celebrities also recognized the track "In the plenu" in the song Loreen. In particular, Vladimir Dantes was outraged that the Swede "stole" the song from a Ukrainian woman: "Loreen took a song from Mika Newton and stole it? Scandal!"

Interestingly, both Loreen and Micah Newton in their compositions sang about unhappy love.

In the meantime, Ukrainians are actively discussing plagiarism in the song of the representative of Sweden, Ukrainian singer herself sees nothing bad. According to Mika Newton, she doesn't see any drama in the songs being similar.

"Life is too short to argue over songs whether they sound the same or not. Some of you think so. Some don't," Mika commented.

But Loreen herself did not give any comments about the fact that her competition song is "plagiarism".

Recall that the Swedish singer twice won Eurovision-2023. The artist won for the first time in 2012, and the second time in 2023. We offer to see how Loreen has changed dramatically in 21 years.
