The Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Lviv decided to fine the mother of a sixth-grader for failure to fulfill parental duties. The schoolboy used obscene words, insulting his classmate in private correspondence.

This is stated in the court decision published in the State Register.

The court decision stressed that the actions of the young son of a Lviv resident could have caused harm to the mental health of the victim, since he had repeatedly bullied his classmate.

The boy's mother pleaded partially guilty of committing an administrative offense. However, she explained that her son was provoked to such behavior and words. She asked not to be severely punished.

The court acknowledged that the schoolboy's mother committed an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 184 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and decided to fine her 850 hryvnias. She must also pay UAH 1,536 in court fees.
