Authorized to operate for a period of 30 years, PAMAS S.A. will use modern technologies for the development of its productions and will use renewable sources of energy for the generation of electricity.

With the completion of its investment process, the German company PAMAS was inaugurated this Friday, in the Mariel Special Development Zone, whose main objective is to replace imports of hydraulic hoses and other industrial equipment in Cuba.

"This business is Cuba's gateway to Germany. With an organization at the business level with all the technologies and also with management systems that allow us to earn an extra hour that will guarantee the replacement of a very important import and will give us the possibility to continue expanding the investment that we have reserved space for that, "said Ana Teresa Igarza, Director of the Mariel Special Development Zone

For his part, the director of PAMAS, Diter Calvid said that this facility lays the foundations for the expansion of the company in the area.

"The service is first and foremost to produce and market hydraulic hoses. We can also provide the service, fix and renew pumps and large valves that are also necessary for thermoelectrics, as well as for mining. We also work with aggressive means," Calvid said.

PAMAS produces hydraulic hoses with materials from Jamsaflex, market leader in Europe as a system supplier in the field of fluid technology in all industries.

The economic counselor of the German embassy in Cuba, Jane Books, stressed the importance of increasing her country's investments in Cuba.

"We as an embassy want to support economic cooperation between Germany and Cuba, as long as we have good examples. This helps a lot to also convince other German companies to have the courage to come to Cuba and try to make investments and good business.

PAMAS is the fourth user of the Mariel special development zone that concludes its investment process so far this year.
