In February last year, he was sentenced to 1 year and 10 months in prison by the Taichung Higher Branch Court for crimes such as Tuli. He was suspended from his post. The Supreme Court took action to interrupt his road to mayor, and recently upheld the Taichung Higher Court's first-instance sentence of 1 year and 10 months in prison and 2 years of deprivation of public rights.

In February last year, Li Xuan was sentenced to 1 year and 10 months in prison by the Taichung High Branch Court and deprived of public rights for 2 years for the crime of seeking profit in the Corruption Regulations. The Changhua County Government issued a suspension order in March of the same year.

Li Xuan ran for the mayor of the town at the same time during the appeal period, and was favored by the voters and was re-elected, and was dismissed by the Supreme Court due to the lawsuit.

The Taichung Higher Court's first trial was released at the end of December last year, and it still maintained the sentence of one year and October and deprivation of public rights for two years. Li Xuan refused to accept it and filed an appeal. The sentencing is also appropriate and will be maintained a few days ago.

Since the whole case has been confirmed, Li Xuan has been deprived of public rights and is about to serve his sentence in prison. He is no longer able to serve as mayor of the town. Therefore, the Changhua County Government should appoint someone to represent him in the near future and conduct a by-election.

Li Xuan is now 58 years old. When he was the director of the mayor’s service office in 2017, he was accused of asking the head of the cleaning team, surnamed Chen, to let his in-laws enter the landfill and dump more than 54 tons of construction waste for improper profit. The pesticide trade of the company is suspected of selling banned pesticides.

In May 2020, the Changhua District Court of First Instance sentenced Li Xuan to 5 years in June and August, 4 years of deprivation of public rights, and a fine of 120 yuan for violating non-civil servants and civil servants jointly committing the crime of profiting from competent affairs and selling banned pesticides. ten thousand yuan.

Li Xuan was dissatisfied and filed an appeal. In February 2022, the Taichung Higher Court of Second Instance changed his sentence to 1 year and 10 months, and deprived him of public rights for 2 years. He was sentenced to 6 months for the crime of intending to sell and store banned pesticides, and received a fine of 360,000 yuan from Yike; 1 million yuan.

In March of the same year, the Changhua County Government announced that Li Xuan was suspended according to the local law, and was replaced by Qiu Jinmo, the deputy director of the Civil Affairs Department.

Li Xuanzai, who was originally from the Kuomintang, changed his non-party membership to continue to run for mayor of Beidou during his appeal to the Supreme Court.
