Research by Japanese scientists offers a new version of the origin of life

Researchers assume that the very young Sun produced very powerful flares and they could have triggered the creation of building blocks from which life forms appeared on Earth.

According to the scientists, their experiment showed that cosmic rays and lightning could theoretically also have played a role in the emergence of life on Earth, but it was solar activity that could have played the most important role.

That is, thanks to the powerful emissions of energy on the Sun, the chemical compounds necessary for the appearance of life on Earth were most likely formed.

But for now, this is just a theory.

So far, scientists know of only one planet in space on which life exists - Earth.

Some researchers have speculated that lightning may have played an important role in this process when it interacted with molecules, heat and water to form amino acids, the basic molecules from which life is built.

Scientists believed that the early Earth's atmosphere was filled with large amounts of methane, ammonia, water vapor, and molecular hydrogen.

Therefore, lightning could trigger important chemical reactions.
