Russia is opposed to an indefinite extension or expansion of the Grain Agreement.

APA's Moscow correspondent reports that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin said this at the conclusion of the negotiations between the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN on the "Grain Agreement" held in Istanbul.

According to him, Russia is against the unlimited extension or expansion of the "Grain Agreement" supported by a number of Western countries.

Vershinin urged not to rush forward in the matter of extending the "Grain Agreement" which will expire on May 18.

"Let's not rush forward. You know that the decision was made to extend the Black Sea initiative for 60 days, that is, until May 18. There is still some time. we are watching," said the Russian diplomat.

Vershin added that a new meeting on the "Grain Agreement" at the level of deputy ministers is not planned, but that Russia continues to communicate with Turkey and the UN.
