On Thursday, May 11, the occupiers shelled six communities of Sumy Oblast.

During the day, 80 explosions and 17 shellings were recorded in the region.  

This was reported by the press service of the Sumy Oblast. 

• Znob-Novgorod community: the Russians fired mortars, there was also artillery shelling.

  A bridge on a local highway was destroyed, 2 private residential buildings were damaged.

• Bilopol community: shelling from mortars and grenade launchers.

• Esman community: the Russians dropped one mine.

• Velikopysarov community: artillery and mortar shelling.

• Yunakivska hromada: shelling with anti-aircraft missiles.

• Mykolaiv rural community: artillery shelling. 

We previously reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian soldiers for their extremely successful actions at the front.

He announced that he had signed a new decree on honoring soldiers with state awards.
