At the beginning of May, the cash hryvnia strengthened, while last week, May 1-7, the dollar rose by 10 kopecks.

From May 8, the cash rate of the dollar in Ukraine will fluctuate between 37.3-37.9 hryvnias per dollar.

Hanna Zolotko, director of the treasury operations department of Yunex Bank, said this.

According to her forecast, in the coming days, the cash rate will continue to push down competition on the market, although significant dynamics will not be observed.

The expert reminded that the dollar rose by 10 kopecks on May 1-7.

So this fluctuation is provoked by two large systemic banks, which compete particularly strongly with non-bank exchangers for the population's demand for currency.

"However, other banks are also forced to respond to increased competition on the cash market, which, in particular, is reflected in the difference between the purchase and sale rates of foreign currency - last week it significantly decreased," the expert noted.

The dollar exchange rate has not changed.

The euro fell by 26 kopecks. The zloty fell by 6 kopecks.
