In the Kremlin, Poland's decision to rename Kaliningrad and the region is called something that "borders on madness."

Russian President Putin's spokesman Dmytro Peskov left such a reaction, according to propaganda media.

"Poland's renaming of Kaliningrad to Krulevets is no longer Russophobia, but a process bordering on madness," he complained.

Peskov also stated that throughout history, Poland "from time to time slips into this madness of its hatred for Russians, and it does not bring anything good for Poland and the Poles."

We will remind, in Poland they decided to rename the Russian Kaliningrad and the region.

From now on, the country will use the names "Królewiec" and "Krulewiec Region" instead of "Kaliningrad" and "Kaliningrad Region".

The Commission for Standardization of Geographical Names Outside of Poland understood that the current

Russian name of the city is "artificial and not related to either the city or the region."
