In the occupied Crimea, it is impossible to talk about preparing for the holiday season because of the dug-up and mined beaches, while members of the Russian administration and collaborators are fleeing the peninsula.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, told about this in an interview with "RBK-Ukraine".

Resort season in Crimea 2023

"The holiday season is not spent in concentration camps. Today, the entire Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territories, when we talk about Crimea, are a large regime object, a military base with elements of a concentration camp. Therefore, if we are talking about the same trenches and engineering works - all the beaches have been dug up, many things have been mined," said a representative of Ukrainian intelligence.

He added that in such conditions of total filtering measures, the work of the special services of the repressive regime, it cannot be about the holiday season in the occupied Crimea.

"Unless FSB officers in disguise will pretend to be tourists - in that case it is possible," Yusov noted with irony.

Occupiers and collaborators are fleeing Crimea

He also informed that representatives of the occupying Russian administrations and collaborators are leaving the peninsula, going to other captured territories of Ukraine.

"Every time there is an incident, someone smokes in the wrong place, or there are measures to demilitarize the occupiers of the Ukrainian peninsula, there are many kilometers of traffic jams when leaving Crimea in the direction of the Russian Federation - Muscovy," said the representative of the GUR.

He clarified - regarding the leadership of the occupation administrations of Crimea and the command - they have already mostly taken care of taking their families out of the occupied territories.

Some took their relatives even beyond the borders of Russia.

"The same applies to conditional elites - business, political, military. They have already provided their families with a higher level of security. The same applies to the sale of property and other things. But the general public continues to be told that everything is going according to plan," Yusov noted.

What is the situation in Crimea and what are the occupiers doing?

After numerous "cotton attacks" in Crimea in late April-early May, the GUR announced that the Ukrainian resistance movement was strengthening its capabilities on the peninsula.

The activity of the movement together with the attacks on the enemy's military facilities has a depressing effect on the Russians.

At the same time, food and water reserves are being created in Crimea in case the peninsula is completely isolated.
