A group of farmers reached Jantar Mantar in the capital Delhi on Monday morning to support the movement of wrestlers.

During this, the farmers broke the barricades set up by the police.

Some videos have surfaced in which farmers can be seen crossing and removing barricades.

However, the incident of any kind of clash has been denied by the Delhi Police.

It has been tweeted from the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi that a group of farmers has reached Jantar Mantar.

They were in a hurry to reach the picket site, some of whom climbed the barricades.

Due to which the barricades fell.

The barricades have been placed on the back side by the police team.

A group of farmers were escorted to Jantar Mantar.

At entry barricades they were in a hurry to reach the Dharna site in which some of them climbed the barricades which fell down & were removed by them.

Police team kept the barricades at the back aside to facilitate their entry.

At the same time, the official handle of Delhi Police also retweeted the tweet and asked people not to believe in fake news.

The protesters are being given facilities at Jantar Mantar.

To ensure security, the entry is being given through DFMD.

A farmer told NDTV that we were trying to enter, the police asked us to enter from one side, but there was no space.

We were in large numbers, so the barricades were overturned.

It may be noted that the country's top wrestlers, including Olympians Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, have been protesting at Jantar Mantar for more than a fortnight demanding the arrest of BJP MP and Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Are.

Singh, a six-time BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh, has been accused of sexual harassment by seven wrestlers, including a minor.

The Delhi Police has registered two cases against him, one under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO).

Many farmer organizations have announced their support to the wrestlers in the ongoing protests.

Under the United Kisan Morcha, members of farmers' organizations are reaching Delhi to join the protest against the wrestlers.
