She was tortured while being imprisoned in Yunlin and Nantou. She was released after her family remitted 200 million Vietnamese dong (equivalent to about 260,000 NT dollars). On March 22, the Madou branch seized four fugitive migrant workers including the main suspect, surnamed Nguyen, and a native surnamed Cai. 2 suspects, this case of Vietnamese kidnapping by Vietnamese was detected, and it was transferred to the prosecution for investigation last week.

After the victim was dumped in a cemetery in Zhongliao Township, Nantou County on the night of March 2, due to injuries all over his body and a language barrier, the Madou Police Station thought it was a case of obstructing freedom after accepting the report. The victimized Vietnamese woman was tricked into getting into a car by several Vietnamese men on Xinsheng South Road, Madou District, Tainan at the end of February. She was forcibly taken to a daily rented apartment in Lunbei Township, Yunlin County, imprisoned for 4 days, handcuffed, Shackles restrict the victim's movement.

While the victim was imprisoned, Taiwanese and Vietnamese men took turns to shock the victim with electric shock rods, beat them with sticks, and threaten to cut off their hands and feet with a knife. They forced the victim to make a video call to contact his Vietnamese family. The suspect threatened the victim’s family to remit 200 million VND. (equivalent to approximately NT$260,000) was released to the Vietnamese account designated by the gangsters.

After investigation, the task force found that the place where the murdered woman was imprisoned was in Lunbei Township, Yunlin County, and Zhushan Township, Nantou County. They collected relevant evidence and identified Vietnamese nationals surnamed Nguyen as escaped migrant workers. 6 suspects including Ruan Nan and a man with the surname Cai of his nationality were seized, 2 electric shock batons, 1 hammer, 3 pairs of handcuffs, 2 pairs of shackles, deposit folds, ATM cards, promissory notes, drugs and other crime evidence were seized. .

The four Vietnamese fugitive migrant workers involved in the case are currently sheltered in the Kaohsiung Shelter of the Southern District Affairs Brigade of the Immigration Department. The victim returned to Vietnam to recover from his injuries. The family members in Taiwan thanked the police. Transferred to Tainan District Prosecutor's Office for investigation.
