On May 5, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the first lady Mehriban Aliyeva got acquainted with the progress of construction work in the school building for 960 students built in Fuzuli as a gift by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on behalf of the Uzbek people.

APA reports that the head of state and the first lady were informed about the progress of construction works.

It was reported that the construction works started last year are planned to be completed in December of this year.

The school building built on a three-hectare area consists of two floors and a basement.

40 classrooms, 6 laboratories, 2 computer rooms, 5 functional teaching rooms, an assembly hall, a gymnasium, a cafeteria, and a library will be created in the school.

A football field, places for recreation and events, running lanes, a checkpoint, a boiler room, water tanks, and a transformer substation will be built on the territory of the school.

Construction works are carried out with high quality.

It should be noted that the construction of this school, which confirms the words of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, "Azerbaijan is a close friend and a reliable strategic partner that has stood the test of time", indicates the high level of relations between our brother countries.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev also assessed the initiative to build a large school in Fuzuli district of Uzbekistan as the next step of solidarity, friendship, and brotherhood between our countries.
