In the evening, May 5, the inhabitants of the Earth will be able to observe a penumbral lunar eclipse.

Part of it can be seen on the territory of Ukraine.

As noted by the Timeanddate resource, it will be possible to observe the eclipse at any point on the night side of the Earth.

However, in some regions the Moon will rise or set during the eclipse, so it may be hidden behind the horizon.

The eclipse will begin at 6:14 p.m. Kyiv time, its peak is expected at 8:22 p.m., and its end at 10:31 p.m.

Most of the eclipse, the Moon will be behind the horizon, but its final phase will be visible in Ukraine.

The next time such a phenomenon will be observed as early as 2042.

It will be recalled that at the beginning of April, the world observed a hybrid solar

eclipse.
