The SBU in Ukraine detained a Russian "mole" who spied on the combat aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and passed information to the occupiers.

This was reported in the SBU press service.

As it became known, military intelligence detained an enemy informer in the Mykolaiv region.

The man turned out to be a resident of Crimea, who in 2014 supported the Russian invaders and remained on the territory of the temporarily occupied peninsula.

"There he received a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and voluntarily entered the military register of the aggressor country.

Later, a representative of the Russian special service came to him with a "proposal" for secret cooperation.

At the instruction of the aggressor, before the start of the full-scale invasion, the suspect arrived in the Mykolaiv region, where his relatives live.

In the territory of the southern region, he was supposed to collect intelligence about the locations and movements of Ukrainian troops.

For this purpose, he was mobilized to the Armed Forces last year," the SBU said.

Subsequently, being in the ranks of one of the Ukrainian military units, he spied on the movement of combat aircraft and the positions of the air defense system of our country.

He was also interested in information about warehouses with ammunition and fuel and lubricants of the Defense Forces.

"Employees of the SBU detained the suspect while he was carrying out an enemy intelligence mission.

According to the investigation, he transmitted the obtained information remotely to the occupiers through his ex-wife, who lives in Crimea and is in the field of view of the Russian special services.

He used an anonymous messenger for communication.

Currently, an investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime," the SBU added.

We will remind that the SBU detained a traitor who was sending intelligence about the defense of Kyiv to the Russian Telegram bot.
