As a result of the next assessment, Standard & Poor's International Rating Agency raised the rating forecast of Kapital Bank from "stable" to "positive", and confirmed the long-term and short-term credit ratings at "BB-/B".

These ratings are considered among the highest indicators among the country's banks.

The agency's report notes that these ratings are due to Kapital Bank's high profitability compared to other local and similar international banks, the quality of its assets, and the fact that by the end of 2022, the volume of problematic loans ("Stage 3") in the total portfolio is only 2.3%. comes forward.

The "Positive" rating forecast reflects that the bank will outperform its competitors in the next 12-24 months in terms of profitability, asset quality and capitalization.

According to the agency, Kapital Bank was able to achieve a record profit indicator in the banking sector of Azerbaijan thanks to the correct implementation of diversification between corporate, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and retail banking, and efficient use of assets.

The return on assets (ROA) of the bank in 2020-2022 averaged 4.5%, and the return on equity (ROE) averaged 36%.
