"Ukrzaliznytsia" dismissed the conductor who agreed to help a ticketless passenger pass for money, and directed an appeal to the law enforcement officers in this regard.

This is stated in the message of the press service of the company, which reacted in this way to the information made public in the story

"Breakfast with 1+1"

.

Operational reaction

In the mentioned story, the correspondent Lyudmila Rudenko personally checked whether it is really almost impossible to buy tickets for the Kyiv-Warsaw train, which passengers call "mystical", and whether it is really possible to negotiate a trip with the conductor by paying him directly, or buy tickets through so-called "middlemen" ".

"On April 27, the conductor, who appears in the story

"Breakfast with 1+1"

from April 26, 2023, and agreed to facilitate the transportation of a passenger who did not have a train ticket, for a separate fee," the press service said.

According to the railway workers, this case will not be solved by dismissal alone - a statement has been sent to the law enforcement officers, so that they can deal with the possible composition of the crime in detail and bring the alleged offender to justice.

"Another scheme described in the plot, with an allegedly guaranteed purchase of a ticket by an "intermediary" at an increased cost, also forms the basis of a corresponding statement to law enforcement agencies," Ukrzaliznytsia assured.

Railway operators ask passengers to cover such frauds as much as possible, if they happen on the part of individual employees of the company or third parties, and also express their gratitude to the journalists of

"Breakfast with 1+1"

for covering the abuses and "the opportunity to quickly clear the ranks of those who do not correspond to our values and disgraces the honor of the profession".

Reminder from "Ukrzaliznytsia"

As reported by the company, train tickets to Warsaw, which are still the most popular among passengers, are transparently sold in the Ukrzaliznytsia application — and nowhere else.

The railway workers emphasized that:

  • these tickets are registered;

  • they can be purchased for more than 4 per account;

  • any suspicious bookings are monitored and blocked;

  • sales horizon — 20 days.

"Every morning at 8:00 a.m., sales for the 20th day ahead are opened, and tickets returned by passengers for other dates are also returned to the system," the company reminds.

An important tip

If it was not possible to buy the right ticket due to objective hype, you should remember that Ukrzaliznytsia significantly increased the offer of tickets to international destinations this year, in particular by introducing an additional daily connecting flight #19/20 Kyiv-Chelm-Warsaw.

In addition, 7 trains run daily to Przemyśl, 3 to Budapest, 2 to Kosice.

A direct connection to Chisinau with a convenient transfer to Iasi airport is always popular.

Where to complain about a violation

It is necessary to expose schemers and report them to the Ukrzaliznytsia contact center at 0 800 503 111 or to the police.

As a reminder, "Ukrzaliznytsia" has assigned two trains to Poland: No. 89/73 — 74/90 Kharkiv, Kyiv — Przemyśl and No. 67/19 — 20/68 Kyiv — Warsaw, Chelm.
