Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the credit for
the construction of the Ram temple
in Ayodhya should be given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Chief Minister Patel said that both the senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party have done a lot to preserve the country's culture and faith.
Patel said that there have been several agitations in the past for a Ram temple in
Ayodhya
, the birthplace of Lord Ram in Uttar Pradesh , where a huge temple is now being built.
Patel was addressing the people gathered in 'Ram Katha' organized by Vishwa Umiadham in Nikol area on Thursday.
The Chief Minister
said, “We all know how many agitations took place in the past for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The temple will be ready by 2024.
We should give credit for this to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
He has contributed a lot in saving our faith and culture.
Vishwa Umiadham is a large temple complex being set up at Jaspur village near Ahmedabad city at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore.
The temple will be dedicated to Maa Umiya, the presiding deity of 'Kadva Patel', a sub-group of the Patidar community.
According to Vishwa Umiya Foundation, after the completion of the construction, this temple will be the tallest temple in the world with a total height of 504 feet.
Spread over 30 lakh square feet, the foundation stone of this temple was also laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March 2019.
