On Wednesday morning, a young man shot a girl in a residential area in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh.

The girl had accused the young man of harassment.

Police told that Deepak Rathore was pressurizing 22-year-old girl Pooja for marriage.

The girl was repeatedly rejecting the proposal of marriage, due to which Deepak Rathore killed the girl.

Pooja lived with her mother and two sisters in Brahmakund near Dhar.

Rathore used to live in the neighborhood of the girl.

She used to work in a restaurant.

When she was going to work, Rathore opened fire on her.

Rathore has a history of stalking Pooja and the girl had also lodged a complaint against him.

According to the police, the accused had also threatened the girl's family and friends.

Police engaged in investigation

A day after the incident, the police reached Brahmakund to arrest Rathore, where he opened fire on the policemen, in which one was injured.

The police also did retaliatory firing here, in which Rathore was injured.

His treatment is going on in the government hospital.

The police also demolished Rathore's house, which was built by illegal encroachment on public land.
