The adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, denied the alleged information that on February 24, 2023, the anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion,

Ukraine was preparing massive strikes on Moscow.

However, at the request of the USA, she refused them.

As The Washington Post wrote, the head of the GUR Kyrylo Budanov ordered one of his officers to "prepare for massive strikes using everything the GUR has."

Mykhailo Podolyak wrote about this on Twitter.

"Once again we see a strange media/sensation... "On the anniversary of the war, Ukraine planned to strike Moscow with everything it has, but its partners refused," - respectable American media conspiratorially report. Of course, without details and without logic. And therefore, one simple thing immediately question. And why would we need to do it? For what? What task would such a one-time action solve? Would it change the course of the war? Would it force the Russians to flee? Would it eliminate the need for weapons?", Podolyak noted.

The adviser to the head of the OP explained that such publications with mandatory reference to "anonymous sources" perform only one catastrophic function - "form public opinion in Western capitals, as if Ukraine is an unreasonable, infantile and impulsive country, which is dangerous for adults to trust with serious weapons."

"Whether this is done consciously or unconsciously is another question. But this does not change the essence: Ukraine sees everything differently. We approach the war with an iron mathematical logic: we need long-range missiles to destroy Russian logistics in the occupied territories and various types of aviation to protect the sky and destruction of Russian fortifications. These are the main components of successful counteroffensive operations and minimizing losses. Maybe it's time to play excuses and fake realpolitik while the war is going on and people are dying?", Podolyak summarized.

It will be recalled that Simon Tisdall, deputy editor of The Guardian, wrote in his article that

Ukraine will be pushed to a "compromise" with Russia after the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces.
