With the improvement of the weather, the Russian occupiers will want to go on the offensive in some areas of the front.

This was stated by the strategic communication coordinator of the US National Security Council, John Kirby, in an interview with "Voice of America".

According to him, it is not yet known where exactly the Russian army can launch an attack.

"We know that in the spring, when the weather improves, and it's already starting to improve, we can expect the Russians to want to go on the offensive in some areas, and we don't know exactly where and how they're going to do it," said John Kirby.

At the same time, he emphasized that the US wants to provide the Armed Forces with better protection.

"If they decide on their own offensive operations, they would have the ability to carry them out," Kirby added.

He listed the needs of the Armed Forces, including:

  • armored vehicles,

  • artillery,

  • air defense,

  • material and technical support

"That's really the lifeblood of any army in the field. How do you keep it fighting. How do you sustain it, how do you get spare parts, food, water and fuel, the things that you need to keep going. So that has to be among the priorities as well." — Kirby added.

We will remind, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba also emphasized the short-term, medium-term and long-term military needs of Ukraine.
