Khalistani supporter Amritpal Singh has been arrested by the Punjab Police.
Along with this, he has been sent to Dibrugarh in Assam.
Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has praised Punjab Police and Punjab's Bhagwant Mann government on Amritpal's arrest.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh released a video saying, "The 'AAP' government of Punjab will not allow the peace of Punjab to be disturbed under any circumstances. The safety of the people of the state is paramount for us. We have shown that when needed We also have the courage to take the strictest steps. Along with this, AAP leader Sanjay Singh has appealed to the public to maintain peace regarding this matter and not to pay attention to misleading news.
Amritpal Singh was arrested on Sunday morning in a joint operation by the Punjab Police and central agencies.
Amritpal Singh kept dodging the Punjab Police and Central agencies for the last 36 days and was absconding in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
To catch Amritpal, operations were conducted across the country till the Nepal border.
Recently, Pappalpreet Singh, the most important companion of Amritpal was arrested by the police.
Amritpal Singh was constantly changing his abode.
The Punjab Police started action against Amritpal Singh on March 18 and arrested hundreds of his associates.
But Amritpal Singh was able to escape along with some of his companions. Amritpal Singh had changed many places before surrendering. He escaped from Amritsar on 18 March 2023.

After this, on March 21, 2023, Amritpal Singh was seen in Madhu Vihar, Delhi.
On March 23, the news of Amritpal's arrival at Lakhimpur Kheri was received.
Amritpal Singh reached Lakhimpur from Jalandhar to Hoshiapur between 23-29 March.
