[Reporter Peng Jianli/Miaoli Report] The 2023 Miaoli Tung Blossom Festival kicked off at the county government today (22nd) with the ceremony of "Pekong Blessing". Because of the widespread distribution of Tung Blossoms in Miaoli County's mountain forests, the county government cooperated with township and city offices to launch a number of Tung Blossom Festivals. In addition to the flower event, the "Miaoli Hakka Tung Blossom Wedding" will be held in Xihu Resort Village, Sanyi Township on the 30th. People from all over the country are welcome to visit, stroll among the mountains and forests where tung blossoms are in full bloom, and feel the unique style of the Hakka mountain city.

Miaoli Tung Blossom Festival, today was inspected by Deputy County Magistrate Deng Guiju, Legislator Lai Xiangling, Hakka Committee Jianren Liu Huiping, County Councilor Luo Guixing, Huang Fangchun, Sanyi Township Mayor Lu Mingzhong, Representative Council Chairman Lin Yingfu, County Government Culture and Tourism Bureau Director Lin Yanfu, Miao County Tourism You Zhiyong, chairman of the association, and others, accompanied by the Hakka eight-tone accompaniment, followed the ancient ritual "three offerings" to pray to Bogong Tiantou, Shuanghu Village, Sanyi Township, and announced the opening after expressing their gratitude to the mountains, forests and land.

This year, the county government also combined with the township and municipal offices to hold several tung flower activities. Today, there are "Zhongshan Art Path" at the Sanyi Wood Sculpture Museum in Sanyi Township, "Tongyou Yijing" on the old mountain line of the railway, and Toufen after Toufen City. The "Tung Blossom Journey" in the garden and the "Sanwan Tung Blossom Festival" in Sanwan Township.

The county government said that the "Tong Tour" in Sanyi Township will continue tomorrow, and there will be a "Tung Blossom Tour in Maoli" in Miaoli City on the 29th, and "Appreciate the Tung Blossoms and Pray to Uncle Blessing" in Tongluo Township on May 13.

In addition, the county government will also hold a "Miaoli Hakka Tung Blossom Wedding" at West Lake Resort in Sanyi Township on the 30th.

Deng Guiju thanked the Hakka Committee for holding the Tung Blossom Festival since 2002, and now it has become the "highlight" of flower viewing every year, especially in the mountains of Miaoli County.
