Russian President

Vladimir Putin

did not visit the occupied regions of Luhansk and Kherson regions of Ukraine on April 18 - a doppelganger went there instead.

Andrii Yusov

, the spokesman of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said this

on the air of the "Freedom" channel.

"A person who looks like Putin, who was allegedly recently in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories in the south - this person is at work, he works as a double," said the representative of the GUR.

We will remind that on April 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly personally visited the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson and Luhansk regions.

According to Russian propaganda reports, Putin visited the headquarters of the "Dnipro" and "East" military groups, where he heard reports about combat operations.

However, Putin's words during the visit indicate that the trip could take place even before Easter.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, said that it was not Putin who came to the occupied territories, but a doppelgänger, as everyone must undergo a mandatory quarantine before meeting the real president of the Russian Federation.

Experts have counted at least four Putin look-alikes.

Putin visited occupied Mariupol on March 19, when experts also said he used a double.
