On Wednesday morning, April 19,

reported the sound of gunshots in the Railway district of the city.

Later, the police detained a 51-year-old man who was shooting from the window of the apartment.  

This was reported by the press service of the police of the Lviv region.

"On April 19, around 8:20, the police received a report that shots were heard in Lviv on Dekarta Street. Special forces and employees of various police services of the Lviv region immediately arrived at the scene... As the law enforcement officers established, a resident of one of the apartments of a multi-story building, 51- a year-old resident of Lviv fired several shots from the window of the third floor. The perpetrator, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine," the message reads.

Law enforcement officers seized an object similar to a hunting rifle and shell casings. 

According to the fact, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 296 (Hooliganism committed with the use of firearms or cold weapons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The sanction of the article provides for punishment - deprivation of liberty for a term of three to seven years.
