Tomorrow, April 22, in the Orthodox calendar,

is the day of commemoration of the martyr Euppsychia

.

He lived during the reign of Emperor Julian the Apostate.

He came from Caesarea, where he was born into a wealthy family.

All his life he actively fought with pagans.

Once he got together with other Christians, went to the temple of idolaters and destroyed its shrines.

Everyone was arrested for this.

Eupsychia was tortured the most and the most cruelly.

The martyr died from torture.

The church holiday of April 22 is the day of memory of the venerable martyr Vadim

He lived in the IV century, when Tsar Sapor ruled.

He fought for the city in the monastery, which he himself built.

When Christians were persecuted, Vadym was also persecuted.

Some were not so strong in their faith and denied Christ, but not Vadim.

Prince Nirsan had to kill him as a sign of loyalty to the king.

He agreed, although he was tormented by pangs of conscience.

He cut off the martyr's head, but he himself soon died due to the gravity of his act.
