The occupying army

of the Russian Federation

is regrouping in southern Ukraine.

The Russians are afraid of a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces and are preparing to defend themselves.

This is stated in the report of analysts of the Institute for the Study of War.

It is emphasized that Russian troops are building fortifications and defensive lines in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

"Russian military bloggers have warned that Ukrainian troops are preparing for counteroffensive actions in the Kherson and Zaporozhye directions, and one Russian source noted that Russian forces are "unsettled" and are regrouping due to concern about Ukrainian attacks," ISW experts emphasize.

In turn, the Southern Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, cited in the report, points out that the Russians have added another missile carrier to the Black Sea Naval Group.

Also, the invaders regularly shell the southern front line.

We will remind, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov said that on

March 31, 2023, another attempt of the Russian "winter-spring" offensive failed

and now the occupiers on almost the entire front line went on the defensive.

The invaders planned to enter the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
