The United States Coast Guard Service carried out operation number 36 to return irregular migrants this year this Sunday, April 16,

with 27 people, 25 men, one woman and one minor,

most of them from Matanzas, who had participated in an outing illegally out of the country and intercepted at sea.

With this return

they add a total of 2357 people returned by the Coast Guard Service.

The Cuban authorities remain firm in their commitment to regular, safe and orderly migration, while reiterating the danger and life-threatening conditions represented by illegal departures from the country by sea and the irresponsible involvement of minors.
