[Reporter Chen Yufu/Taipei Report] The US Navy's 7th Fleet (US Navy's 7th Fleet) stated that the Burke-class missile destroyer USS Milius passed through the Taiwan Strait on the 16th Taiwan time.

The Ministry of National Defense of China stated today (17th) that a US destroyer sailed through the Taiwan Strait from south to north.

Reuters quoted the U.S. Seventh Fleet as saying that the USS Milius had "routinely passed through the Taiwan Strait," emphasizing that the waters had "freedom of navigation and overflight on the high seas as governed by international law."

The Seventh Fleet pointed out that the USS Milius demonstrated the US's commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific region through the Taiwan Strait.
