New Delhi:

Asaram has got a setback from the Supreme Court in the case of rape of a minor in Jodhpur.

The Supreme Court has quashed the Rajasthan High Court's decision to summon IPS officer Ajay Pal Lamba as a witness in the case.

Along with this, the Rajasthan High Court has been asked to hear the appeal against the sentence soon.

In fact, the Rajasthan High Court's decision to summon IPS officer Ajay Pal Lamba, who wrote the book in the Asaram rape case, was challenged.

On February 10, the Supreme Court had reserved its verdict on the Rajasthan government's petition.

The counsel for the Rajasthan government had said that the book is fiction, on the basis of which there cannot be a demand to reopen the entire case.

It is said in the book itself that this is a dramatization of the incident.

In fact, the Rajasthan High Court had issued summons to IPS officer Ajay Pal Lamba to appear as a witness.

This was challenged by the Rajasthan government in the Supreme Court.

Lamba, who headed the investigation, questioned the police investigation in his book 'Gunning for the God Man'.

Regarding this, Asaram had applied to present Lamba as a witness.

Which was accepted by the High Court.
