Iran continues technical negotiations with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

APA reports that Nasir Kanani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, said this at a press conference held today.

"Technical negotiations will be held within the framework of the joint statement announced during the visit of Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (AEBA) to Tehran," Kanani said.

He said that technical personnel were exchanged within the framework of the statement and agreement reached between the parties, and representatives of the Agency visited Iran and held technical negotiations, and these negotiations are continuing along the agreed routes:

"This is a technical way, and if this technical way is not affected by political issues and relations, we hope to continue the way between Iran and the Agency and take positive steps towards solving the remaining technical issues between Iran and the Agency."

Kanani added that the progress of this process could have a positive impact on the process of agreement on the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action).
