The United Nations World Food Program's staff in Sudan has been affected by the coup clashes, and three people are known to have died unfortunately.

[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] A military coup broke out in Sudan recently. The paramilitary "Rapid Support Force" (RSF) and the regular army broke out fierce clashes, causing serious casualties.

Local staff of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) were also affected, and three people are known to have died.

According to Reuters, UN World Food Program executive director Cindy McCain said in a statement that WFP had three Sudanese staff in the Kabkabia region of North Darfur. (Kabkabiya) was involved in clashes and was killed and two others were injured.

He said that currently WFP has suspended all operations in Sudan.

McCain said a United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS) plane was "severely damaged" in the clashes at Khartoum International Airport on the 15th, making it difficult for WFP staff to deliver personnel and aid to Sudan.

According to the German Aviation Safety Data Center "JACDEC", the destroyed aircraft was a modified ERJ-135 business jet.

According to Sudan's Central Medical Council, at least 25 people were killed and 183 injured in the current conflict.

The United States, Russia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Nations, the European Union and the African Union have all called for an immediate end to hostilities in response to the conflict.
