[Compiled Sun Yuqing/Comprehensive Report] The British "Financial Times" quoted sources on the 15th that the United States intends to reschedule Secretary of State Blinken's visit to China. Lincoln visits China.

The report pointed out that when the Chinese high-altitude reconnaissance balloon invaded the U.S. airspace from the end of January to the beginning of February, Blinken temporarily decided to postpone his visit to China. The exact schedule of the visit has not yet been announced.

However, four people familiar with the status of the U.S.-China negotiations revealed that Beijing has indicated to Washington that it is not planning to reschedule Blinken’s visit to China, because it is unclear how the Biden administration will handle the investigation report on Chinese balloons, and it is particularly worried that the U.S. side will be in Blinken. During the visit to China, the real evidence of the balloon and the report of the FBI were made public, so Blinken's visit was not allowed until the US side's handling was clarified.

It is understood that the Biden administration has different opinions on whether to disclose the investigation report. Some officials hope to make it public to prove that the balloon has spying functions in response to pressure from Congress, but other officials worry that the disclosure will further deteriorate US-China relations.

Blinken said a few days ago that he will visit China when the "time is right". The US does not seek to contain China or a new Cold War, and will responsibly manage US-China relations to serve US interests.

The Pentagon said in early April that it has not been able to prove that Chinese balloons can immediately transmit information back to China when they fly over sensitive US military sites, and the relevant investigation is still ongoing.
