, the father of the girl with the anti-war poster.

The story began with the fact that

Masha Moskalyova,

a sixth-grader from the town of Yefremov, Tula Region, drew an anti-war picture at school a year ago.

In the social networks of her parents, Aleksei Moskalev, they found a comment "discrediting the army".

As a result, the girl was placed in a shelter, and a criminal case was opened against the man and he was sent under house arrest.

On March 28, Moskalyov was sentenced to two years in prison.

But he did not show up for the announcement, because he escaped from house arrest the day before.

Two days later he was detained in Minsk.

In the meantime, Masha was taken from the shelter by her mother, with whom the girl had no contact for a long time.

Last week, human rights activists from the "Memorial" center and the "OVD-Info" project appealed to the European Commission and the Council of Europe with a call to pay attention to the criminal prosecution of Aleksei Moskalev.

The authors of the letter asked international bodies to use all available means to prevent Moskalev's extradition from the Republic of Belarus to Russia.

Human rights defenders also noted that it is necessary to seek the transfer of Moskalev to a third country that is safe and ready to receive him.
