Two years after prosecutors, investigators and court officials from across the country warned that the interests of the people would be betrayed and came to courthouses across the country to protect the people from the attempts of some politicians, by closing down the court and the "Anti-Mafia" prosecutor's office , the results are already visible and they are nothing but devastation in the anti-mafia field.

This is stated by the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev in a statement on the Facebook page of the prosecutor's office.

"Bulgarian citizens are paying a heavy price for this with every subsequent phone fraud, victimized by a drugged driver, a friend or acquaintance, robbed of an elderly person or with the drugs that flood the streets and poison our children," commented the chief prosecutor.

Ivan Geshev: What some call "reform" turned out to be a ruin

He expresses the hope that humility will be shown on Maundy Thursday and that the interests of the people are above all that the Bulgarian magistrates showed two years ago.

The Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office, which remains one of the few stable institutions in Bulgaria, will continue to protect the security of Bulgarian citizens.

Despite the unprecedented attempts to destabilize and discredit, to gain control and political control in violation of the principle of separation of powers, despite the threats and insults, prosecutors, investigators and prosecutors work and will continue to work for every single Bulgarian.

None of them betrayed their colleagues for thirty pieces of silver, says the chief prosecutor.
