US Secretary of State Etony Blinken said that decisions on counteroffensive operations aimed at deoccupying territories are made independently by the military leadership of Ukraine.

He said this at a press conference.

"Ukraine must make decisions about how it can most effectively defend itself against Russian aggression and return the territory seized from it," Blinken emphasized.

According to him, if necessary, the United States of America is ready to provide its advice and support to Ukraine.

However, important decisions regarding counteroffensive actions aimed at de-occupation of territories seized by Russia are made by Ukraine itself.

It will be recalled that The Washington Post, referring to a secret Pentagon military document "leaked" to the Internet, reported that

Washington does not believe in a successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces.

The United States of America believes that the Ukrainian military may be "significantly behind" the initial goals of the expected counteroffensive.

The reason for this is the problems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the accumulation of troops, ammunition and equipment.
