[Reporter Lin Yizhang/Report from Chiayi] A serious car accident occurred at the intersection of Yuren Road and Datong Road in Chiayi City early this morning. Two cars collided and were seriously damaged. The black car crashed into a nearby orchard and damaged many fruit trees; firefighters Rescue arrived at the scene, and the male driver of the black car was injured and sent to the hospital. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the police.

The Chiayi City Fire Department received a report at 1:15 a.m. today that there was a car accident on Yuren Road, and an ambulance from the De'an Division of the First Brigade was on duty to provide assistance.

The ambulance personnel arrived at the scene and found that the front of the white car was almost completely destroyed. The 43-year-old female driver had multiple contusions and abrasions on her limbs, but said she was fine. She refused to be sent to the hospital because she did not want to waste medical resources; the black car rushed into the scene. In the orchard, a 21-year-old male driver suffered lacerations on the back of his head and limb pain. After the wound was cleaned and bandaged, he was sent to Chiayi Christian Hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the police.
