Kyiv residents were reminded that they do not need to pay for it in hospitals

The director of the Department of Health Protection, Valentina Ginzburg, reminded that Kyiv residents should not pay doctors for medical services and medicines covered by the Medical Guarantee Program or provided within the framework of the city's targeted programs.

"A person must receive the full amount of guaranteed medical care free of charge."

Kyiv residents often complain to the Department of Health Care of the KMDA that in city hospitals they have to pay even for the simplest procedures, pills, injections, diagnostics.

“We respond to every complaint, but unfortunately they keep coming.

Obviously, it is impossible to control the actions of each doctor.

How impossible is it to guarantee that even the strictest control and punishment for violations will guarantee the absence of unfortunate cases in the future," Valentyna Ginzburg emphasized.

Many of the violations in question are recorded primarily in advisory and diagnostic centers.

Residents of Kyiv should know that following a referral issued by a therapist, family doctor, or specialist, it is possible to

KDC and any other municipal medical facility that has a contract with the NHSHU to provide the necessary service free of charge to

pass tests, perform MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, mammography, densitometry and a number of other examinations.
