The feasibility study of National Highway 7 began in 1996. After 15 years of promotion and 10 years of environmental assessment procedures, with the cooperation of the central government and local governments, it passed the environmental assessment review last year. The total length is about 23 kilometers and the total cost is 135.79 billion yuan. The interchange and two system interchanges were officially approved by the central government on March 23 this year, and are scheduled to be completed in June 2011.

He said that Kaohsiung Port is the largest port in Taiwan and also a hub for international routes. 70% of Taiwan’s containers are transshipped from Kaohsiung, with a revenue of 8 billion yuan, playing an important role in Taiwan’s economy and Kaohsiung’s economic development; The first phase of the container center will be opened in May, and there will be offshore wind power development at the same time, making the transportation of Kaohsiung Port very important.

He mentioned several times that only when the central government cooperates with the local government can things succeed. He hopes that the Ministry of Communications, Gaoshi Municipal, together with the pipeline units, land use agencies, and engineering teams, will properly communicate and speed up the pace. , so that the country 7 can be completed and opened to traffic within the scheduled schedule.
