8,637 motor vehicles were checked as part of the ordered specialist police operation to comply with the Road Traffic Act.

11,314 drivers and passengers were checked.

2,446 slips and 610 acts were drawn up for established administrative violations.

The focus of the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have used alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers, reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Within the past day, a total of 22 drivers were found to have gotten behind the wheel after consuming alcohol - 10 of them were driving after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, 12 - with over 1.2 per 1000. Under influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, 4 people were found to be driving, and 3 refused to be tested.

From the summary data: 2,669 motor vehicles and 2,946 drivers and passengers were checked by the "linear control" method;

797 slips and 203 AUAN were drawn up for established violations.

Another 38 drunk and 7 drugged drivers were caught

Three drivers were found sitting behind the wheel after using alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand and four - over 1.2 per thousand.

Three were driving after using narcotic substances or analogues.
