In Poland, the number of tuberculosis, whooping cough, poliomyelitis and other neglected diseases has increased several times.

APA reports that InoSMI informed Wirtualna Polska about this.

According to the publication, experts predict further growth in the coming years.

The article states that in 2020, the number of people infected with tuberculosis in Poland increased by 10% compared to the previous year.

In those years, the number of pertussis cases increased by 20%, and poliomyelitis increased by 400%.

In addition, there is an increase in the number of sexually transmitted diseases - gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV.

In 2020, the number of gonorrhea cases increased by 30%, and the number of HIV infections increased by 15%.

According to experts, the increase is due to the lack of vaccination, the impossibility of treatment, the negative effects of smoking, nutrition and stress on health.
